We Remember!

There has been a school house in Christoval for over a hundred years now and I think it is fair to say that the school was the center of the community activities. I also think it is fair to say that the kids that attended that school in the forties, fifties, and sixties were blessed. It was a time marked by a War that touched everyone and bonded us together in a common cause. After that terrible ordeal, we enjoyed a period of joy and prosperity that was briefly dampened by periods of drought and floods. But it was before TV changed our lives forever. We thrived on a spirit of interdependence for our entertainment and social needs. This made these times very special.

Sadly in these days and times, that spirit has gone away, perhaps to never return again. I think is incumbent upon us all to share with posterity our memories and photos of the "Good Old Days." Plus it will be a tonic for our own souls to see and hear the spoken words and view the photos of dear old friends again. It will surely enrich us all.
